September 22, 2025. Brooklyn Book Festival BOOKENDS Panel: “The New Kids: 2025 Debut Authors Talk Process, Publishing, and Community.” 7pm at Heart of Gold in Queens, NY. (doors open at 6pm)

With Kate Broad, Kerry Cullen, Daria Lavelle, and Victor Suthammanont. Moderated by Catherine Dang.

Debut authors with books launching in 2025 discuss their books and the debut process–from the first idea to the actual launch. In addition to describing their different approaches to story and craft, they will share their experience with the community and support they found as they followed their paths to publication.

Come to Heart of Gold for a great conversation in the backyard garden (weather permitting), with food and drinks for sale. Books will be available on-site to purchase and for the authors to sign, thanks to Astoria Books.

RSVP HERE. Free and open to the public, but registering in advance lets us get a head count for the bookstore and the venue.
